Ruth Usoro and Ruta Lasmane of Texas Tech finished second and third in the women's triple jump final at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Usoro, representing Nigeria, produced a mark of 45-9.25 (13.95m) and Lasmane achieved a 45-7 (13.89m) performance for the Red Raiders, who tied for 11th overall with 17 points. Both athletes secured All-America first-team honors again after Usoro won last year and Lasmane, representing Latvia, finished fifth competing for Florida State.
