Texas Tech's Kole Weldon & Hannah Carson have been named the Big 12 Track & Field Athletes of the Week, after sweeping their throwing events at this weekend's West Texas A&M Twilight Open.

The Texas Tech men's and women's track & field teams made huge jumps in the U.S Track & Field And Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), vaulting to No. 6 and No. 12, respectively.
